I must admit that when i visit the field of Agincourt and Crecy, this speach is always on my lips.
For those interested in this battle look up Crecy and Poitiers, more out numbered English fighting and smashing huge Fremch armies.
Do as i do, buy yourself a Longbow and progress onto a Warbow, keep the tradition of the Englishbowmen alive. 40 arrows every Sunday morning, Clout and Mark shooting together with the Wand, do as your ancestors did 650 years ago.
    FOREVER ENGLAND

  2. staircut Says:

English people are awesome, like practically as awesome as Americans (take it easy, I’m kind of joking, I do think Americans are awesome though). This speech is so inspiring, and Kenneth Branagh owns as usual.

  3. triggert531 Says:

    Correction: Englishman!

  4. triggert531 Says:

Moral of the story: Never tangle with an Englisman! Those are some of meanest fighting, crazy-brave, bastards in the world!

  6. FlyingFish14 Says:

  7. DeathSephiroth Says:

Whoever gave me a minus, fuck you, you shallow, materialist bastard!

  8. longbowman817 Says:

the burgandiansonly left there english allys because not england or burgandy were going to support a baby king of both realms and also the 2nd regent of all of france duke of bedford wanted to marry a second time and married jaccetea of luxemborg under philip the good disaprovel.

  9. DeathSephiroth Says:

Im jealous of them, this is honour, this is to trully live, this is spirit, beyond earthly materialism, consumerism and individuallism. This is deeper and more noble.

  10. envsh03 Says:

Now you know why Muslims get so fired up -they hear speeches /sentiment like this, from their preachers etc., all the time!

  11. envsh03 Says:

This is fiction -albeit great fiction. Do not get lose touch with reality -the here and now. The world has moved on -and continues onwards!

  12. longbowman817 Says:

after joan lift the siege of orleans henry vi married margerat of anjou but in return to margerats hand in marriage was a drowery of the region of maine to charles vii. england lost its momentoum to caught up with there tradional english en mass fire power from the longbow,( not effective against plate armour only mail)that the french advanced to beat the longbowmen by outranging them with gunpowder alltilery. this draws the english from there defensive formation anf forces the english to attack

  13. longbowman817 Says:

burgandy joined henry v after the murder of john the fearless.philip the good duke of burgandy wanted to get the revenge for the murder of his father.when henry vi was crowned in notre damm in paris he was king of france until charles vii was crowned in rheims thanks to joan of arc so then henry vi now only owned northen france and charles with southern france. henry vi was technicly the soveriegn of all of france until 1429 a very small reign, all here would agree but he is king of france.

  14. rlang23 Says:

i said i beleive, i didnt say it was fact, I was merley citing what I had heard elsewhere.

    I do apologise

  15. longbow1415 Says:

The majority of the Longbowmen were English, for gods sake how many times do i have to read comments from people who have done no research and just found this site.
The Warbow was in use and law for EVERY Englishman for hundreds of years…EVERY ENGLISHMAN of common blood. The English bowmen always outnumbered our Welsh allies.

  16. hetrodoxly Says:

There’s little evidence to back up what you say, by the time of agincourt the longbow was being used all over the UK, every church yard in England grew yew tree’s this was for the making of longbows.

  17. longbowman817 Says:

king henry ii was gaurdian of flanders and hainhult. the empire collapsed in the reign of john of lackland and the defeat at bouvinies in 1213.henry v won his battle at agincourt and on the treaty of troyes 1420 he was heir and regent of france. charles is crazy and so sive henry is regent he ruled france and the powerhouse in paris.henry vi the son of catherine of valios and henry v was king of all of france a few years before joan emerges to lift the siege of orleans. they got down to loire

  18. hetrodoxly Says:

Henry was only born in wales, he wasn’t welsh.

  19. longbowman817 Says:

england had conrol of every region of france through marriage and conquest st different periods in history 1100 to 1453. 1n 1154 the great angevin empire was made and thry had all of aquataine normandy maine anjoa brittiny berry(bourges) and auvougerne. they also had a descent from stephen i of england and he was count of bloise and his brother was count of champagne. the english had narbonne provence and the county of tolouse through marriage with joan of england and raymound vi.

  20. longbowman817 Says:

for some reason the best english kings or princes are the welsh ones.

  21. rlang23 Says:

very true, i beleive the majority of English longbowmen were actually welsh

  22. longbowman817 Says:

england rule but lets not forget the noble irish and welsh who fought with us in the hundred years war.

  23. PhiltheBard Says:

i listen to this every day too but i suspect for different reasons to you,to me its in my mind the best speech ever wrote in literature, and performed too,all the best.

  24. longbow1415 Says:

I listen to this every day.
Makes me bloody proud of England and proud to be an Englishman.

“This story, shall the good man teach his son”
I have, and another proud Englishman was born.

  25. PhiltheBard Says:

just to add to my earlier point,do you not feel its getting a bit silly, enjoy it for what it is,an excellent play wrote by an excellent writer.
